Engineering Hub opens doors to new building in Pune

On March 28, 2025, BMT Group’s Engineering Hub marked a major milestone with the official inauguration of its new workspace. The event celebrated not just the expansion of a facility, but the continued growth and collaboration across the entire BMT Group.
What is the Engineering Hub?
The Engineering Hub plays a key role in supporting all divisions within the BMT group—including IGW, VCST, BMT Aerospace, and OMCO—offering centralized engineering expertise to drive innovation, efficiency, and shared success. The hub is located in the same city as IGW India, Pune.
The inauguration was officially led by IGW India’s plant manager, Mr. Vikas Dudeja, who cut the ceremonial ribbon and welcomed colleagues and families to the new premises. His words highlighted the Engineering Hub’s growing impact and its importance within the broader BMT Group ecosystem.
Big celebrations
To make the occasion even more special, a Family Day was held alongside the inauguration. Employees were invited to bring their spouses and children to enjoy a day filled with celebration and connection. The event began with a traditional Pooja ceremony. This is a traditional Hindu ritual to invoke blessings of prosperity and good fortune in the new space.
A variety of activities created a fun and festive atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a magic show, games like Dumb Charades, a tattoo-making station for kids, and music. Adding tradition and color, attendees wore saffron turbans to symbolize unity and festivity.
The celebration included a prize distribution ceremony recognizing participants and refreshments ranging from snacks to tea and soft drinks. A dedicated photo session captured these memorable moments.
Special Message from Engineering & Quality Director IGW – Wim Maton
Engineering & Quality Director IGW – Wim Maton, joined the celebration virtually from Belgium for a special message. In his speech, he congratulated the team from the Engineering Hub for their outstanding achievements and expressed his eagerness to visit the new office soon. His words reinforced the global recognition and impact of the Engineering Hub, making this milestone even more significant.
This joint celebration of the new workspace and Family Day underscored the values that define the BMT Group: innovation, collaboration, and a people-first culture.
