Gear grinding excellence at IGW India: A journey of achievements and innovation

At IGW, our Gear Grinding Cell has set a remarkable precedent by achieving an extraordinary production milestone recently, surpassing all expectations with a record-breaking 35,245 parts produced! This means that IGW India’s Gear Grinding parts/Total Production percentage increased from 5.5% in 2022 to 8.35% in July 2023. For instance, in a month where IGW previously produced e.g. 400,000 units, the quantity of ground gears was 20,000. Currently, with a monthly production of e.g. 400,000 units, the ground gear quantity has increased to 35,000.This achievement echoes the unswerving commitment, tireless endeavors, and skills that each team member contributes.

How did we do it?

Behind this remarkable achievement lies a well-crafted strategy. One of the key contributors to our success is the utilization of Glotical calculation (in-house developed software). By meticulously applying precise process parameters right from the outset, we have witnessed an outstanding rate of first-time-right outcomes. This calculated approach ensures optimal machine utilization and also aligns perfectly with higher parameters, resulting in a significant boost to productivity.

Furthermore, this achievement is also thanks to the elevation of operator skills. Through proactive measures, we are equipping our operators with advanced capabilities and empowering them to navigate the complexities of our industry with confidence. These skills empower our team and drive our overall productivity, solidifying our position as industry leaders.

Also worth celebrating is the installation of the RZ150 Reishauer and successful initiation of serial production. The installation marks a significant leap forward, enabling us to explore new horizons and expand our capabilities, ultimately contributing to heightened productivity and proficiency! This achievement speaks volumes about our collective expertise, teamwork, and pursuit of excellence.
