IGW India Empowers Blind Girls: A Brighter Future at NFBM Jagriti School
8 January, 2024
At IGW India, we prioritize corporate social responsibility (CSR) to help communities in need. This year, we support the NFBM Jagriti School for Blind Girls in Alandi Devachi, Dist. Pune. Our initiative promotes education and empowerment, aligning with IGW's mission.
A ray of hope for 126 amazing girls
The NFBM Jagriti School for Blind Girls is like a ray of hope for 126 amazing girls who are visually challenged. Almost all of the girls in the school come from rural areas in India, where conditions are already hard. IGW recently made a donation to the school with the aim of improving the educational experience of the girls. This donation provides them with free instruction, housing, and boarding facilities. But it doesn't stop there! The school offers coaching in IT, athletics, crafts, vocational training, cultural skills, and communication for overall development. In addition, the school provides specialized instruction in music, home science, and orientation and mobility.
IGW India Plant Manager Vikas Dudeja, accompanied by senior members of the global finance team, Johan De Lille and Judith Naessens, recently visited the NFBM Jagriti School. The warmth of the traditional greeting set the tone for a thorough tour of the school's facilities. Witnessing firsthand the commitment and diligence embedded in the school's mission left a lasting impression on our team.
Empowering minds, shaping futures
Through this initiative, IGW has empowered these young minds with knowledge and skills that will undoubtedly shape their future. The donation to the NFBM Jagriti School for Blind Girls is not just a financial contribution; it is an investment in the potential of these girls, fostering an environment where they can thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.
By supporting projects like the NFBM Jagriti School, IGW India continues its mission to help those in need and make a meaningful difference. We are happy to be involved in the further development of an institution that does important work and makes a true change. We believe that, together, we can create a brighter future for all.
